National Tourism Day

Pakistan’s National Tourism Day is celebrated on 2nd May 2019 because the first Ministry of Tourism in Pakistan was established in 2nd May 1972. On 2nd May National Tourism Pakistan will celebrate National Tourism Day every year to raise awareness of the importance of tourism for the country’s economy.

Pakistan’s rich history and cultural and geographical diversity make the country one of the most popular tourist destinations among foreign travelers. It offers various forms of tourism, including cultural, adventure, heritage, nature, educational, business, sports, rural, medical, and eco-tourism. National policies for the promotion and development of tourism are designed and carried out by the Govt. of Pakistan.

The World Tourism Day is celebrated on 27 September and in Pakistan, National Tourism Day is celebrated on the 2nd May. This celebration is all about to cultivate and create awareness among the society globally on the significance of tourism, and it’s social, political, financial and also cultural worth and value.
